Human Resource Services

If your organization is one of the many that has realized the value of getting more women into management – or even leadership – positions, data shows you may need some help getting there.  Why?  Because up to 50% of our best and brightest female professionals are still opting out – if not out of the workforce altogether, then at least off the executive track.  There are many things you can do to change this. Most involve doing the right things internally but some require bringing in the right outside support as well.  That’s where we come in.  We offer both direct to the individual turn-key external coaching support as well as customized counseling – for you, your HR team, your Executive team or your Hi-Po women.

Below is a list of some of our most popular offerings:

The coach is in

A fixed fee, weekly/monthly “office hours” service where anyone who has access to the service can sign up for a 30-minute consultation on a first come, first served basis.  The consultations focus on whatever professional development or career management issue the individual wants to cover that day. They can be done on a one-off or more regular basis. All the person has to do is sign up when they need or want to talk. It’s personalized for the individual and cost effective for HR as it enables you to provide at least some one-on-one coaching to dozens of women at a reasonable cost.  Of course, it’s totally confidential for the individual but you will receive reports on overall usage and key trends/actionable insights.

Women’s groups/networks/initiatives

Most organizations already have or are contemplating setting up specific Women’s groups/networks/initiatives. That’s great!  The issues arise as you try to figure out things like: setting the right goals; determining who funds and sponsors the group; setting participation guidelines (both who and how); determining what programming to offer, etc.  We’ve been there and done that.  So let us help you get it right so that it accomplishes what you most need vs it becoming just another thing that didn’t really move the needle for your women.

Skills workshop series

6-8 semi-customizable trainings specifically for women – run via webinar (unlimited participation) or in person (max 50 people) and covering the key issues research says hold women back, including: negotiating for what they really want; taking risks; executive presence; work/life “balance”, etc.

One-on-one executive coaching:

Ideal for the Hi-Po women you’ve already determined could make it to the top.  Can be done for one or a few executives, the latter providing more competitive rates and enabling the coach to build familiarity with organizational goals, dynamics, culture, etc.

If you are interested in one of these offerings, but not sure why to choose us, here are four important reasons:

  1. We focus exclusively on supporting professional women in ways we know work for them
  2. All services are provided by seasoned executives – people who have personally been there and done that
  3. Many of our delivery methods enable people to participate whenever and wherever they prefer
  4. Our approaches make it cost effective for employers to reach more women and to reach them continuously – not just once/if things have gone wrong

Just one hour on the phone with Perry gave me more actionable insights and inspiration than I'd received through years with other coaches. I’ve known Perry for decades and can say without hesitation there is no one better suited to help guide ambitious professionals. Whenever I need advice on how to handle a particularly vexing professional or personal situation, I look to Perry.  She is always spot on, whether sharing concrete examples of similar situations or just prodding me to think in new ways. There are few people with her level of success who share their knowledge so expertly and perceptively. Add her flawless moral and ethical compass and you’ve got a winner on your team.

Perry was my boss earlier in my career. She was also an important mentor and coach. Many years and several jobs later, she remains my go-to person when I need smart, sound professional guidance. The lessons she taught me still resonate (in fact, I quoted one of them today). Whatever career challenges you face, Perry has been there, done that.  I would highly recommend her to anyone thinking about what’s next in their journey.

Perry is a force to be reckoned with and someone I wish I could be mentored by on a daily basis. She is the kind of woman leader I am eager to work for - not only because of what she herself has achieved but because she also takes the time to mentor and ensure that up-and-coming women behind her are preparing themselves for positions of leadership. Her direct and open style have helped me better understand the kinds of positions I would excel at.

I transitioned from the non-profit world to the private sector and had the amazing opportunity to work with Perry. She is first and foremost a great listener, which makes her leadership feel more authentic and genuine than many other senior leaders I've worked with (men and women alike). Through Perry's infinite experience, openness, and candid feedback, I learned how to become a more effective communicator, how to stand firm in what I believe, and how to be a better businesswoman overall.

Perry is dynamic, persuasive and talented. She has a wealth of experience across industries and markets. Coupled with her personality, Perry perfectly blends tried and true tactics with a deep understanding of today’s business trends, making her someone I trust to help me manage my career.

Perry and I met as peers in the same profession nearly 20 years ago. We bonded over shared experiences and traded stories and solutions. She remains a trusted confidante who has helped me think through a number of challenging work situations - some technical, others political. Clear-eyed, forthright and honest, Perry is true to herself and reminds me to be the same.

Kathy B,
Age 51, Practice Chair, Global Communications Firm, Washington, D.C.

Perry and I met at Kraft in 2007. She was at the top of the food chain and I was closer to the bottom. Perry provided me with the perspective and guidance I needed to navigate my way through a $50BN company. Through our 1:1 discussions, she gave me the confidence to deliver and to ask for what I wanted which resulted in 3 promotions in 3 short years. Work was my only real responsibility at the time and I remember thinking, how does Perry have more energy than me!? Being in her presence is inspiring. Her dynamism is contagious. But what sets Perry apart is that she shows up engaged and curious. Her willingness to guide and mentor the next generation of leaders has been instrumental to my success.

Perry has been there, done that, and is still doing it. Over more than three decades, I’ve witnessed Perry’s drive and determination to advance her career in both the corporate and agency worlds.  She has the unique skills to be both a dynamic presenter and an intense, active listener. Perry's varied experiences enable her to coach women at any level. It can be as simple as what to wear to the more "complicated and delicate" subjects of how to handle people. And everything in between. Her thoughts/opinions/advise are solid, well thought out, time tested, and respected by many.  She is a trusted advisor.

Sue B,
Age 55, Nuclear Engineer, Annapolis

Compared with men, women are notoriously opportunistic and reticent in the way they approach their career progression.  Throughout her own career Perry has defied this norm: demonstrating courage, resilience and a long-term outlook that has taken her to the top.   She is passionate about women reaching their full potential, so any woman seeking her counsel is in very good hands

Mel L,
Age 45, Partner, Consulting Firm, Philadelphia

Perry will inspire and guide you to open the door to your true, untapped, potential. Her expert advice and contagious dynamism empower you to become the best that you can be and to take on opportunities according to the value you bring to an employer.  You will feel “light”, inspired, and unstoppable after talking to Perry.  She is a true powerhouse.

Belisa D,
Age 48, Director, Latin America, NGO, Washington, DC

Perry leads by example in all she has achieved throughout her career, while offering sound career coaching. She has taken the time to help me think about how to define and get what I need out of each role or position I hold even as my priorities and skills evolve. With her communications expertise, Perry has also helped me think about how to craft my personal value proposition in a compelling way.
